We harvested nettles to create our own string- that was really strong.
Living in WW2
Year 6 spent Friday afternoon living like children during the war. We dug up, cooked and ate home grown potatoes. We also learnt songs from WW2 such as 'Run Rabbit'.

Wow what a busy week we have had in year 6! It has been so lovely welcoming all our year 6's back into school and watching them step up to the challenge of being in Elm Class. We have had lots of fun this week and I am already impressed with how hard they have been working!

Lockerbie Manor
Year 6 had a fantastic residential at Lockerbie Manor in September. They did a range of outdoor activities including archery, zip wire, canoeing, kayaking, climbing wall and various team challenges. All the pupils overcame some personal challenges as well as having a lot of fun!
McMillan Coffee Morning
Our Year 6 pupils hosted a McMillan Coffee Morning. We invited parents and members of the community and then they were rewarded for their hard work with a cup of tea and a cake.
