Willow Class - Year 3 & Year 4

The challenge was to collect natural materials to create Pudsey Bear . Great team working.

Willow Class are now creating their own persuasive adverts for alternatives to ocean-damaging plastic straws and will be presenting their adverts to the creator of the sustainable straw company via Zoom.

We watched the Strawpocalypse sculpture video and discussed the impact of plastic in the ocean. We tested out a sustainable alternative to plastic straws - Stroodles!

Back in class, pupils solved the puzzle - putting the pieces back together to create a map of our local area.

Willow Class used a sketch map of our school and grounds to locate checkpoints and collect a piece of the map. What will the pieces make?

Next week, we will match the human and physical features sketched to Ordnance Survey maps.
