English Refugee researching!
Willow Class have been researching about Refugee's to activate our prior knowledge before reading 'Wisp- A story of hope'. We have found out lots of information about what a refugee is and where refugee camps are located.
Place Value
In Willow these past couple of weeks we have been using place value counters and base 10 to solidify our knowledge of numbers and what each digit within a number represents. We have been creating numbers within 10,000 using place value counters. All pupils in Willow Class have grown in confidence…
Circuit building
We have been learning about Electricity in Science and have been building circuits using wires, bulbs batteries, switches, buzzers and motors! The children in Willow Class have worked really well in groups to problem solve and create circuits that conduct electricity!
Base 10
We have been using base 10 to represent numbers within 1000. We then challenged each other to write numbers beyond 1000 and recognise which digits represented the thousands, hundreds, tens and ones.
Something's blooming...
This morning, Willow class started making some beautiful sunflowers to fill our KS2 display board. We are all unique and beautiful like these flowers and we will be creating a display for Children's Mental Health week, for us all to enjoy.

Churro's Trip to London!

Exploring Perimeter in Willow Class!
Today we have been very cheeky and have been working out perimeter of shapes on our tables! We had lots of fun and enjoyed being Perimeter Detectives.
Willow Class make Mummies!
Willow Class have been looking at the Ancient Egyptian's beliefs regarding the afterlife. We learned about mummification and why it was important. We then tried our hand at wrapping a doll - it is harder than it looks!
Willow Class make their own festive treats!
We created our own festive chocolate bark this morning. We researched products, designed our own bark and made our own packaging for it. We were all really proud of our makes and it was a great activity to get us into the Christmas spirit!
Roman Soldier Visit Willow
We loved having a Roman Soldier visit us today! We had the chance to look at artefacts and be Roman Soldiers. This was a really fun day and we learned so much!
Pudsey Bear 21
The challenge was to collect natural materials to create Pudsey Bear . Great team working.
