Willow Class - Year 3 & Year 4

This morning, Willow class started making some beautiful sunflowers to fill our KS2 display board. We are all unique and beautiful like these flowers and we will be creating a display for Children's Mental Health week, for us all to enjoy. 

Today we started embellishing our egg cosies. This avocado is amazing and all his own work!

Over the weekend, our class teacher went to London and visited The British Museum. She took lots of photographs of artefacts for us, and took our class 'pet' - a cat called Churro! This morning, we enjoyed sharing the photographs, looking at real hieroglyphs and seeing photograph of The Rosetta…

Today we have been very cheeky and have been working out perimeter of shapes on our tables! We had lots of fun and enjoyed being Perimeter Detectives. 

Willow Class have been looking at the Ancient Egyptian's beliefs regarding the afterlife. We learned about mummification and why it was important. We then tried our hand at wrapping a doll - it is harder than it looks!

We created our own festive chocolate bark this morning. We researched products, designed our own bark and made our own packaging for it. We were all really proud of our makes and it was a great activity to get us into the Christmas spirit!

We loved having a Roman Soldier visit us today! We had the chance to look at artefacts and be Roman Soldiers. This was a really fun day and we learned so much!

The challenge was to collect natural materials to create Pudsey Bear . Great team working.

Willow Class are now creating their own persuasive adverts for alternatives to ocean-damaging plastic straws and will be presenting their adverts to the creator of the sustainable straw company via Zoom.

We watched the Strawpocalypse sculpture video and discussed the impact of plastic in the ocean. We tested out a sustainable alternative to plastic straws - Stroodles!
