Antarctic Explorers!
We have been in role as Antarctic explorers today! We have built shelters to keep us safe from an Antarctic blizzard, and even thought about ways to keep ourselves entertained whilst inside our shelters - ranging from painting, drums and even booby traps!

Oak Class had a fab time using different skills to shape and form patterns with play dough! We can't wait to use these skills to make our animals out of clay.
Our Final Week before Christmas!

Shadow Puppets!
Maple Class have spent time designing and making their very own shadow puppets! They were challenged to include different materials in their puppet - some that were opaque, some that were translucent and some that were transparent. We then tested them out to see how the different materials…
Origami Christmas Trees!
We have worked really hard this morning, taking our origami skills and knowledge to the next level to create our very own kirigami Christmas Trees!
Week 15 in Beech Class
This week, the children were AMAZING and performed their Nativity. All children were fantastic and we were so proud of them! We were even lucky to watch the KS1 dress rehearsal of their nativity, and sat and listened perfectly!

Maths building 3D towers
Ash class worked in small groups to create the tallest tower using 3D shapes that we have been learning about. We discussed why a sphere and a cone would be no use at the bottom of the tower! We measured the towers to crown the winning group with the tallest tower.
We had towers as tall as 5ft…
The BIG Little Nativity
Ash and Oak performed their Nativity to all of their family and the rest of school. We have some amazing performers!
Winter fun on the ice!
Today we had great fun at Lancaster On Ice! The children showed bravery, resilience and kindness. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Lancaster On Ice!
Our Year 5 and 6 pupils have visited Lancaster on Ice for an incredible ice skating lesson this morning! For some of our pupils, this was their first time ice skating - we made amazing progress and had lots of fun!!
Week 14 in Beech Class
This week, we said goodbye to our lovely Miss L. She joined us back in September for her beginning placement and was part of the team from the word go! We will miss her very much, as well as the children, and wish her lots of luck in her next placement on her journey to becoming a teacher!

In Beech Class this week, we have had our very own hairdressers! The children have really enjoyed styling other’s hair and booking appointments through the phone!
