Roald Dahl Day
Bringing Books To Life
Willow Class throughly enjoyed their dance class delivered by Eddie from West End in Schools. They created a dance to tell the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Well done Willow Class, you showed some great dance moves.
Dancing!
Today a dance teacher came in and taught us a dance routine to Charlie and the chocolate factory! We had lots of fun and re-told the story using some cool dance moves.
Busy bees...
Here is an action shot from our Roald Dahl Day. The boys are in the small world tray pretending to be the children from Charlie Chocolate Factory.
Outdoor action!
We have been lucky this year as we have a brand new role play cottage in our Ash class outdoor area. This week it is a kitchen and dining table.
The children have enjoyed construction outdoors too! So far we have had tiger cages, zooming trains, cars that have spaces for tigers in the boot and…
Ssssssssssssssss
We have begun learning the first set of letter sounds! We have been making sparkly slithering snakes to help us learn the letter S. Super star!
Making Models
We have been choosing what to use and how to stick parts together.
Snip and stick, snip and stick!
Happy helpers!
We have been working as a team and helping each other. We helped each other fasten our aprons for the water tray!

Paramedic visit
We had a fantastic morning learning about a paramedics job, we looked through all of their different medical bags and had the opportunity to use some of the equipment. We also had the chance to explore the ambluance.
Positional language
This morning the children in recpetion have been using positional language to complete tasks on the play ground! We are all fantastic at positional language (Maths: shape, space, measure 40-60 months)!
Baby Chicks!
We had a special visitor today, Mrs Hunter brought her chicks in for us all to see! We all had the opportunity to hold the chicks and we learnt lots about them.
Shape, shape whats that shape?
Today the children in Ash class had to listen to the properites of a 2D shape then run to the shape that was being described. We all had lots of fun and could recognise shapes from how they are being described!
