This afternoon Ash class have been finding hidden pictures/words and putting them in the correct section of our venn diagram. We found lots of animals that are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores! 

We went on a mission to find insects this morning, we also collected mud for our mud kitchen in the sunshine! We have had a lovely day learning outdoors. 

Year 1 have been matching pictures to the correct fractions- they worked in pairs and were all fantastic at recognising halves, quarters and whole ones. 

The children in reception have been competing with one another in a game of Alphabet bingo! This helps us to recognise lower and upper case letters. 

Today we have been using our knowledge of fractions to decorate pizzas! We then ate them for snack, they were delicious! 

The children in Ash class have been learning and practising different rolls and how to jump and land safely! We love getting the apparatus out! 

Lots of children from Ash Class have been making mud pies in the mud kitchen today. They have been using our freshly grown herbs to season the pies and have been using a range of utensils to mix together the special ingredients! 

Today the children in reception have been playing number splat! They had to throw a wet sponge at a number, read the number they hit and then complete that number of star jumps! All of the children really enjoyed this task and continued to play the game throughout the day. 

The children in reception have been creating a number line with Mrs Lewis, they have been writing the number on wall paper and representing the number using hand prints! Very multi-sensory =] 

Today year 1 have been rolling a dice and whichever number it lands on (on the 100square) have been using numicon/base 10 to split the numbers into tens and ones. All the children worked fantastic today! 

Yesterday Ash Class and pre-school had a visit from The Owl man. We learnt lots of interesting facts about Owls and had the opportunity to stroke them, their feathers felt lovely and soft! We also had a barn owl skim across the top of our heads as it flew across the hall! 

This morning Ash class have managed to run/walk around the juniour playground and field 8 times, equating to 1 mile! We are all very tired now.
