We have been creating 2D and 3D shapes with play dough. We have had some fantastic cylinders, cubes and spheres! 

We have been sorting 2D and 3D shapes!

In Literacy we are looking at non-fiction text. This week Oak class have been researching Penguins, Pigs and Possums on the internet and recording the facts they have found onto paper! 

Today we have been painting our play dough models, the children worked really hard using different sized brushes and mixing colours to create the closest colour to their animal. 

Yesterday we created our own animals from play dough and then designed our animals habitat and what it eats. We used fantastic vocabularly as we were designing our animal such as push, pull, twist, stretch,squash and pinch!

In Willow we are designing and making a remote control car!  Here the children are beginning their research.

Bringing Books To Life

Willow Class throughly enjoyed their dance class delivered by Eddie from West End in Schools.  They created a dance to tell the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  Well done Willow Class, you showed some great dance moves.

Today a dance teacher came in and taught us a dance routine to Charlie and the chocolate factory! We had lots of fun and re-told the story using some cool dance moves.

We have been lucky this year as we have a brand new role play cottage in our Ash class outdoor area. This week it is a kitchen and dining table.

The children have enjoyed construction outdoors too!  So far we have had tiger cages, zooming trains, cars that have spaces for tigers in the boot and…

We have begun learning the first set of letter sounds! We have been making sparkly slithering snakes to help us learn the letter S.  Super star!

We have been choosing what to use and how to stick parts together.
