How are we feeling?
Drama
Today during English we used drama to help the children to understand how the three main characters felt. We then completed a writing task, writing in role of a chosen character.
Porridge Play!
The reception children have been exploring capacity with porridge. How many scoops to fill each bowl? Did Daddy bears bowl need more scoops to fill it?
Clever capacity!
We have been finding full, empty, half full, nearly full and nearly empty in the water tray.
How many scoops?
The children in Ash clas have been investigating whose bowl holds the most? We estimated how many scoops it would take to fill each bears bowl. We compared our results and chose how to record them.
Forest Fun!
We have been in the forest making breakfast for baby bear!
Looking for Winter
We have been looking at our trees and seeing how they have changed now that it is no longer Autumnn. We have been writing and printing our observations!
1-100! Wow!
We have been making our own hundred square. We have been learning about tens and ones in year one. Look at the coloumns and the rows..... what happens to the digits?
Yum or yuk!
We have been trying different flavours of porridge to help Goldilocks with her breakfast. We all tried plain, sugary, salty and porridge with jam in. We recorded our results on a table using smiley faces and sad faces. We talked to our friends about which flavours they liked and disliked…
Fabric Fun!
We have been planning, designing and colouring our own fabric pictures. We have been making choices about shape, length and colour.
