We saw the branch line which took salt from the mines to the main line where it was distributed across the UK and the World.

It was very muddy!

We looked for the old pumps in the fields. These were used to pump water in to dissolve the salt.

Wow! This is the pit which was created when the land subsided.

We have been learning about our body parts today! We hvae been labelling diagrams and creating bodies on the interactive whiteboard. 

We have been looking at the structures of folk tales and the children have been using 'Boxed-up' planning to innovate and create their own tales based on an existing structure. They have been making characters to act out; re-telling their story for their class mates.

We brought into school our special books and explained why they are special.  We discussed how we look after our special books.  We are learning how special the Bible is.

We are learning how to count in threes using straws to make triangles.

Today we brought in our favouite animal toys.  We hide our toys and described them to a partner who draw what they thought the toy would look like.  We then wrote about our toys using adjectives.
