Which material will work best?
Using our knowledge and our senses to 'predict' which material will help teddy stay dry when it rains. We explored plastic, paper, tin foil and cotton.
Mix and Match!
We are learning to match labels to a picture and to type our own name. We have used a space bar and the correct button too.

Climbing High!
We are learning to make choices about what we can do. We are thinking about which part of the climbing frame to use and how high we want to climb.
Wetting Teddy!
We have been designing a raincoat for Baby Bear. We have predicted which materials are waterproof and which materials are not.
Rolling to 100!
Who can make their bear travel to a hundred the quickest?
Friendly Names!
We are practising our letter formation and we are learning how to spell lots of different words. This is our 'friendly writing' activity! Grace is practising Millie's name and Millie is practising Grace's name. We MUST remember a capital letter at the beginning!
How are we feeling?
Drama
Today during English we used drama to help the children to understand how the three main characters felt. We then completed a writing task, writing in role of a chosen character.
Curriculum Overview
Porridge Play!
The reception children have been exploring capacity with porridge. How many scoops to fill each bowl? Did Daddy bears bowl need more scoops to fill it?
Clever capacity!
We have been finding full, empty, half full, nearly full and nearly empty in the water tray.
