This afternoon Ash class have been learning how to juice, chop and peel different fruits and vegetables. We all thoroughly enjoyed using peelers and sharp knives and worked very sensibly and carefully. 

We got wrapped up warm and went outside to look for signs of spring and new life.

What an enormous dragon ! We all joined in the dragon dance.

We all enjoyed tasting new food to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The children had a fabulous time at their first dance session.  They are working on a circus themed dance for the next five weeks.

The children are planting their own seeds and taking care of them.  They will be observing and recording their findings.  

We have been busy creating our Chinese Dragon heads using cardboard boxes. We had great fun with different paints, glitter and al other materials!  We then had a Chinese Dragon dance on the playground listening to Chinese Dragon music. 

We had a lovely lunch at China Red today. We tried lots of food; noodles, chicken friend rice, prawn toast, chicken balls, chicken wings and sweet and sour sauce! 

We have had a very exciting past 2 days celebrating Chinese New Year! Here a range of children from Key Stage 1 created a Chinese Dragon in the outdoor construction. They used fantastic team work skills and their understanding and knowledge of China is brilliant. 

We can identify trees from their buds.

We had to find lots of new things that were growing.
