The Stone Age - Skara Brae
We are learning about the Stone Age and the children have been tasked with reading an extract about the Stone Age village of Skara Brae and making an accurate model. Their efforts are amazing and can be seen on display in the corridor and at the back of the hall. Well done!
Maths - Direction and movement
Using compasses to find North and marking the other compass points. We then used the circles to practise quarter, half, three-quarter and full turns, clockwise and anti-clockwise.
Palm Sunday
We used drama to bring the Easter Story alive. The children acted out Palm Sunday with lots of noise and excitement! They then wrote a letter to a friend to explain what it was like to be there.
Amazing Art
The children took inspiration from Vincent Van Gough's 'Sunflowers' and using pastels they created their own masterpieces. They used shading techniques to add depth to their art.
Sport Relief
We had a fun afternoon raising money for Sport Relief. The children took in the Obstacle Challenge and loved it. They were incredible.
Well Done Everyone.
