Oak Class - Year 1 & Year 2

Oak Class has been using Numicon, cubes and rods in their multiplication activities.

Spring 1 Newsletter

Last week the children from Oak Class visited Preesall Fire Station, to find out about fire safety.

In Oak Class we have been making rain.  The children observed our experiment and could explain how rain is formed.

We used drama to bring the Easter Story alive.  The children acted out Palm Sunday with lots of noise and excitement!  They then wrote a letter to a friend to explain what it was like to be there.

The children took inspiration from Vincent Van Gough's 'Sunflowers'  and using pastels they created their own masterpieces.  They used shading techniques to add depth to their art.

We had a fun afternoon raising money for Sport Relief.  The children took in the Obstacle Challenge and loved it.  They were incredible.

Well Done Everyone.

We got wrapped up warm and went outside to look for signs of spring and new life.
