Oak Class - Year 1 & Year 2

The children had a fabulous time at their first dance session.  They are working on a circus themed dance for the next five weeks.

The children are planting their own seeds and taking care of them.  They will be observing and recording their findings.  

We had a lovely lunch at China Red today. We tried lots of food; noodles, chicken friend rice, prawn toast, chicken balls, chicken wings and sweet and sour sauce! 

The children in Oak Class have been using the story of Goldilocks to help them relax and stay calm.

Our Keyan village is under construction.  They have been learning about different areas of Kenya and how their houses are constructed.  They are making their own mud/clay houses.

The children are learning about Neil Armstrong in History.  They created their own Apollo 11.

This half term we are starting the week with a yoga lesson.  The children are learning how to control their bodies, mindfulness and welbeing.They are loving the new way we start the week.

Spring Term 1 Curriculum Overview

We had our KS1/Pre School party today.  The children had a fun time, we even had a special visitor!

The children were amazing.  They peformed 'A King is Born' to a packed house and they were incredible.  Well done everyone, we are all so proud of you.

Oak Class have been learning about fractions in a practical way.  I think some of the pancakes went missing!
