Forest Phonics
Today, the Year Ones had a great time doing their phonics activities in the forest.
Salt Dough Robots
The children in Oak Class have been decorating their fantastic salt dough robots.
Litter Picking
The children in Oak and Ash Classes had great time caring for the local environment. They picked up litter on Park Lane and found lots of plastic and glass. They then discovered that glass can take 1 million years to decompose in the soil and some plastic bottles never decompose!
Pond Dipping
During their forest session the children in Oak Class had a chance to do some pond dipping. They saw lots of frog spawn, and caught some freshwater shrimps.
Practical Maths
The children have been using Base Ten apparatus to calculate subtractions involving decomposition.
Ninja Warrior Day
The children had an amazing time completing the Ninja Warrior Course.
World Book Day
Today we had a fantastic time reading each other our favourite books, for World Book Day.

Today, we had a special visitor. Kit, the librarian from Knott End Library, came into class to read us all a story.
