Jurassic park
Today I introduced our new topic to the children, DINOSAURS! They absolutely loved creating a jurassic park using the small world dinosaurs, rocks and trees! They even put a volcano in the middle of the land.
Natural construction building.
The children worked really hard in a team to create a 'train trap', they worked together to lift the different objects and designed a fantastic creation!
Our improved outdoors!
The children have really enjoyed using all of the areas outside today. We have a new sand shed, the children have produced some fantastic collaborative play in the sand.
Water area
We have a new, natural water area. We have been using measuring jugs to pour water through the water channels.
worms and spiders!
We have been using tweezers to find spiders buried in our spooky grey spaghetti. How many spiders can you find?
Our new Fairy Garden
We have been in our new fairy garden today, once our fairy garden grass is short enough we will be transferring the resources into the grass area!
Life Education Bus
Yesterday we visited Harold at the Life Education Bus. We had an amazing time and learned lots about our bodies and what we do to stay healthy. We also helped Harold the giraffe find ways to make himself feel better when he was feeling sad.
Making Teepee's in the construction!
We have been using natural materials to make Teepee's in the construction area. We have been using our wooden small world people to make sure the Teepee's are tall and strong enough to house people.
Healthy Meal
We have been using the eatwell plate to create a balanced meal.
Mega Maths
We have been looking at number sentences and using compare bears to help us work out the answer.
Light up phonics!
We had so much fun writing the letters we have been learning in the dark with our finger lights!
Using our senses!
In science we have been learning about our 5 senses. Today we hae used all five of our senses. We have taste tested, listened, looked, touched and smelt a variety of different things. We have had lots of fun and we can now all name our five senses and what we use them for.
