Ash Class Reception Y1

Thanks to Woodland Trust we have planted 60 new saplings on our playing field along the hedge!  We had to dig a hole, add a cane for it to grow straight and a tube to help protect it until it grows 3m tall.   

We have been talking about our refreshed outdoor area!  What beautiful stones and shells we now have! I like the bumpy one......

Today we have been using our new chalkboard surfaces to practise our writing in the sunshine!

We have been using story stones to tell each other traditional tales.  We are beginning with 'The Enormous Turnip'.

We have started to think about time, clocks and watches. Today we learnt about o'clock and which job each hand does!

Here is our doodle wall.  The children can add their own work each day!

Hannah brought in some of the tools she uses to draw with!  The children could chose from a range of media to create their own masterpiece.  Glitter was a very popular choice! 

We had an artist called Hannah come into class and share her work.  We did some awesome doodliong with her and made some characters for a story!

We had to work as a team!  Great sifting and mixing boys!

We have been following instructions on how to wash our hands well so they are nice and clean ready for baking!
