Digital Magnifyer Work
Today the children recorded their learnig and ideas on digital microscopes. We pressed record and listened for the beep! We then finished our recording and listened for two beeps. To check it had worked we pressed 'play' and listened carefully!
Summer Observations!
Today has been very hot so we we decided to see what happens to our trees in Summer. We asked questions e.g. what has changed since Spring? Why? How do we know it is Summer?
Team work
We worked as team to complete a jigsaw of 'The Hungry Caterpillar'.
Ew
Today is phoics we have been learning about 'ew' in words. We have been writing chew, screw, stew and dew.
Hairy Caterpillars!
Last Wedensday we made hairy caterpillars using old tights, compost, grass seeds and string. The children added buttons and pipe-cleaners to decorate. We will water them and give them some light. Watch this space....
The Hungry Caterpillar
We have been using food lids to retell the story of 'The Hungry Caterpillar'. We had to put the food in the caterpillar's mouth in order. On Monday....

We have been using natural materials to think about our timestables (multiplication).

Three Billy Goats Gruff!
The children have been folding, bending, curling and cutting to make a 'scene' from the traditional tale.
Lopper Ladybirds!
The children have been telling Miss Brakewell where to place the loppers ready to fill a plant pot for the ladybirds to live in.
Sweets for Building!
We designed a house using sweets and tomorrow we will se if the wolf can blow it down!
