On Tuesday 24th March Willow and Maple Class went to Manchester Airport as part of our Geography Topic 'Passport to Europe'.  We began with a tour of Terminal Two followed by activities at The Runway Park.  The children saw planes taking off and landing, some children watched the plane that delivered the Olympic Torch in 2012 taxi down the runway.  They were also given the amazing opportunity to walk around Concord!  Many of the children's favourite part was boarding a Monarch Aircraft and taking part in role play senarios such as a pilot, officer and engineer along with all types of occupations found at the Airport.

I was a fantastic day for all.  The children spent the day as journalist gathering information for newspaper writing back at school.
