Churro's Trip to London!

Exploring Perimeter in Willow Class!
Today we have been very cheeky and have been working out perimeter of shapes on our tables! We had lots of fun and enjoyed being Perimeter Detectives.
Willow Class make Mummies!
Willow Class have been looking at the Ancient Egyptian's beliefs regarding the afterlife. We learned about mummification and why it was important. We then tried our hand at wrapping a doll - it is harder than it looks!

We have been working hard to design our egg cosies. We are now making prototypes to discover if there are any improvements or changes to be made before we start creating the real thing!
Fun in the Forest!
Willow Class celebrated Winnie the Pooh’s birthday in the forest today. We talked about friendship in the Winnie the Pooh stories, and made friendship bracelets. We also enjoyed honey on toast over the fire.
Willow Class make their own festive treats!
We created our own festive chocolate bark this morning. We researched products, designed our own bark and made our own packaging for it. We were all really proud of our makes and it was a great activity to get us into the Christmas spirit!
Roman Soldier Visit Willow
We loved having a Roman Soldier visit us today! We had the chance to look at artefacts and be Roman Soldiers. This was a really fun day and we learned so much!
Our Class Reader
The children chose their own class reading book, as a Christmas gift. This is the book they chose, a tale of a refugee who joins a class. The children in Willow are loving this tale, it is funny and sad at times too. We really value our time to read together and this story, set in London gives us…
What do robots eat for breakfast?
As part of our launch for our ‘The Iron Man’ topic, we investigated whether or not we could extract the iron from breakfast cereal. We began by crushing cornflakes into a powder, and the dissolving in warm water. We then used magnets to try and draw out the iron. We discovered that this was…
