Today, in oak class we had the pleasure of welcoming Marshall into our classroom to support our Geography learning about cape town????

Marshall spent time talking to the children about his experiences and knowledge of Cape Town, helping us to consolidate and deepen our understanding of this vibrant South African city. The children were able to revisit key learning from our unit, including its location, climate, physical features and cultural diversity, and make meaningful connections to real-life experiences.

We explored important landmarks such as and discussed why it is such a significant physical feature. The children also reflected on how life in may be similar to and different from life here in the UK, building on their geographical comparison skills.

It was wonderful to see the children asking thoughtful questions and confidently using subject-specific vocabulary to articulate their ideas. Experiences like this help to bring our curriculum to life and allow pupils to apply their knowledge in a meaningful and memorable way.

A huge thank you to Marshall for giving up his time to enrich our learning!
