Welcome to our Nursery Class

For many years, we have run a highly successful pre-school group for local children. In September 2023, we brought the pre-school under the school umbrella and created our own nursery class. We can take up to 24 children in a session and our aim is to prepare the children for starting school in Reception by giving them the best possible start to their learning journey

Miss Reeves is the nursery teacher, supported by a team of qualified and experienced support staff.

There is a strong emphasis on the benefits of outdoor play with daily access to the outdoors and regular visits to the on-site forest. The nursery has its own classroom situated next to reception class which helps develop good links for smooth transition into school.

We are committed to offering all children in the community a happy, stimulating, safe and nurturing environment in which they can learn and develop a wide range of early learning skills.

Our nursery offers care and education for children from the term after their 3rd birthday and accepts Nursery Grant for the free 15 hours of government childcare and the 30 hours extended offer .

Fees are payable for the hours below:

We are open Monday to Friday 9am – 3.30pm term time only. (Early Years Holiday Club coming soon!)

Children can extend their day by attending Breakfast Club from 7:30am-9am (at no additional cost) and After School Club 3.30pm -  5:30pm .

After School Club will be charged at £6 until 4:30pm or £8 until 5:30pm

In Nursery we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum:-

~Individual care and attention made possible by the high staff ratio of adults to children.

~Fun and friendship with children and other adults.

~The support of a key person.

~Opportunities for you and your family to be directly involved in the education and progress     of your child.
